Books worth keeping.
We publish a small number of titles, carefully. Our first is The Credit Union Special Sauce by Eric Hepkins — twenty-five reasons credit unions are different, and what it will take to keep them that way.
Knotty Pine Press is an independent publisher based in Western New York.
We were founded for a simple reason: some books are worth making well, even when the audience is specific. We publish work that argues for something — books with a point of view, written by people who have lived the subject rather than studied it from a distance.
We are small on purpose. Every title gets real attention, from the manuscript through the cover.
More to come.
“Small Doesn't Mean Fragile. Resilience isn't about scale -- it's about rootedness. Sometimes small means focused, grounded, and exactly the right size for the work.”
