Knotty Pine Press is an independent publisher in Western New York. We publish a few books at a time, carefully, and we choose them the same way a reader does — by whether they say something worth saying.

We are not a large house, and we are not trying to become one. Our interest is in books that argue for something: work written by people who have lived the subject rather than observed it from a distance. That means fewer titles, more attention, and a willingness to publish a book because it matters rather than because a category is selling.

Our first title is The Credit Union Special Sauce by Eric Hepkins, expected publishing in 2027.
